About Me

Born in Salem, I traveled south to pursue my undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon. In my final year at the UO, I had the fantastic opportunity to participate in Environmental Leadership Program. Through developing, implementing and revising place-based curriculum, the importance of environmental education has truly resonated with me.

Discovering the unique history of this lovely state and reconnecting to my home has been a lifelong pursuit of my own. My love of nature blossomed at a young age visiting places like Silver Falls, Mount Hood and Beverly Beach. Throughout my childhood, I spent many years roaming the peony fields at my grandparent's farm.

My goal is to maintain my own sense of wonder and awe in the natural world while supporting others along the way!

“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.” ― Rachel Carson
