Restoring Connections

During my final year at the UO, I worked on the Restoring Connections team.  As part of the Environmental Leadership Program, Restoring Connections is a new partnership with Mount Pisgah Arboretum and Adams Elementary designed to teach elementary students about the local ecosystem.  This year, our team of six along with our project manager and mentor helped implement this great project. Through an in-class lesson and a field trip, kindergarteners, first grade and second grade students learned about a particular habitat and the species that call it home. Educational place-based activities guide students on adventures of inquiry and discovery, helping them develop a lasting sense of personal connection to nature.

Feel free to browse the photos I captured throughout Spring term at Adams Elementary and Mount Pisgah Arboretum.
